Travel to the FSM is available via Hawaii or Guam through Continental Micronesia,
a subsidiary of Continental Airlines. Continental Micronesia provides scheduled
air service from Hawaii through the Marshall Islands to Kosrae, Pohnpei,
Chuuk and on to Guam three times weekly. Chuuk and Pohnpei are also served by
Continental Micronesia from Guam five times and four times weekly, respectively,
and to Kosrae three times weekly. Yap is served by the same airline from Guam
and Palau three times weekly. Guam is the region's airline hub and it is possible
to fly from anywhere in the world connecting through Guam on Continental Micronesia,
Northwest Airlines, JAL and Air Nippon, Korean Airlines and China Airlines.
International services from Taipei to Palau are also available on China Airlines
and Far East Air.
Scheduled inter-island air services in the states of Chuuk and Pohnpei is provided
by Caroline Island Air. Yap and its outer islands are serviced by Pacific Missionary
Aviation.
