 Saipan: Saipan is the largest island in the U.S. Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. Since the island was formed by a rising coral reef, this tropical paradise offers beautiful white sand beaches with crystal clear water and the natural abundance of fresh clean air. Saipan is home to about 70,000 inhabitants. The natives of the island are the Chamorros and Carolinians.
The primary commercial area, downtown Garapan, showcases an array of architectural features indicative of Eastern and Western cultural influences. This area boasts an array of shopping venues and restaurants for visitors' convenience. Saipan, a tropical paradise, provides world-class shopping, fine dining as well as a multitude of land and ocean activities. The island is blessed with lush greenery. Natural forest, comprised of endemic floral and fauna species, fill the inland sections of the island, while hotels and residential areas occupy the coastal areas.
Saipan's historic and cultural sites provide visitors with exciting information about the Spanish, German, Japanese, and American administrative periods, the World War II Battle for Saipan, and equally interesting, information about the Ancient Chamorros and their way of life.
Tinian: Tinian is situated six miles southwest of Saipan. It is clearly visible from Saipan's southern and western coastlines. Interisland flights and ferry services are available on a daily basis.
Tinian is a playground in the Pacific, featuring many outdoor activities, a casino for gambling enjoyment, secluded beaches and oceans with amazing tropical fish and breathtaking coral formations.
Tinian's historic and prehistoric sites enthrall visitors. From the World War II atomic bomb pits in Northfield to the magnificent latte stones attributed to ancient Chamorro chief Taga, the aura of lore, legend, and historical fact makes Tinian a must-see on any visitor's "to do" list.
Rota: An island of ancient beauty provides an ambience of natural significance and friendly smiles. Halfway between Saipan and Guam, approximately 30 minutes by air, this island offers a true getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life where one can enjoy nature at its best.
The waters surrounding Rota are excellent for the diving enthusiast — featuring walls, wrecks, caves, fans, coral formations and other marine animal life. The island of Rota also offers a variety of sightseeing attractions including a bird sanctuary for bird watchers, historical war remnants for the World War II historical buff, and a latte quarry site that attests to the engineering prowess of the Ancient Chamorro people.
